Cooking brings people together

We're on a mission to bring more joy, flavor, and easy connection to everyday dinners. Cookini makes it simple to cook a dish, share a meal, and explore new cultures from the comfort of home. Starting virtually lowers the pressure and makes it easy to take the first step, while creating a natural foundation for moments that can spill into the real world. Cooking is the perfect icebreaker, giving people time to laugh, swap stories, and build lasting friendships.

In my culture, a table for eight fits ten. There is always room for one more, and food is how you show it. Having lived in three countries (Mozambique, Portugal & Germany), sharing a meal was always my way of finding belonging. I have seen it work for me and I have seen it work for the people around my table in Würzburg, at brunches, dinners, game nights that always end the same way. Someone once told me that being at mine feels like a hug. That is what I want Cookini to give people.

Co-Founder

I grew up in Würzburg on hearty Franconian cuisine, and I've had a soft spot for it ever since. Somewhere along the way, loving to eat turned into loving to cook, and then into tasting my way through other people's kitchens and countries. What I enjoy most is simple: watching someone dig into a meal I've made, and feeling that same happiness when a plate is set in front of me. What I hope you take from a Cookini evening is that the food almost becomes beside the point: the cooking and the talking pull you in so completely that eating stops being something you have to do and becomes something you make, and enjoy, together.

Co-Founder

I bring an engineer's mindset to Cookini's finances and operational groundwork. Numbers and exact calculations keep our growth sustainable, even if hardware is what I love most. Cooking with my wife is my favorite way to balance out all the structure. We love exploring new recipes together and using food as a way to unwind. I keep our financial side grounded so Cookini can thrive long term, giving people a warm, simple way to share food and create great memories together.
